Meet the Driver
- Jared Behrman loves engines and speed, he has all his life. He's participated in motor sports for years, and is also an avid boater, so he made the decision to put the two together.
- Jared recently traveled to South Carolina where be bought a hydroplane. That boat, E-181, will make him one of the few local boys to drive a hydroplane at an Evansville race. Using two different engines, Jared will race in the 5-litre division and the 2.5 modified class.
- Behrman has been a long time supporter of boat racing. He attended Thunder on the Ohio at Evansville until that organization shut down due to money issues and internal squabbling in 2009 after 31 years.
- Behrman attended the American Power Boat Association’s (APBA) Driving School, held in Dayton, Ohio were he recevied his driver training. The class included powerboat piloting in a simulator as well as laps in a hydroboat for certification. He will now drive two races before returning to Evansville for the second annual Hydrofest.
